Welcome to Dora, Sitkum, and McKinley!
The Dora-Sitkum RFPD provides fire protection to these communities.
These three rural communities in Coos County, Oregon have a fire hall and community center in Dora, Oregon. The community center, which was once the Dora School, also houses the Dora Library and the East Fork Community Church. The Dora Friendly Club, a service group that is famous for its cookbooks, quilts, pies, potlucks, and scholarship program, meets monthly at the community center.
Location
The community of Dora is about 17 miles east of Myrtle Point, Oregon. The community of Sitkum is about 25 miles east of Myrtle Point, Oregon. Both communities border the East Fork of the Coquille River. McKinley is about 5 miles north of Dora and lies in the Middle Creek drainage.
