What are donations used for?
There is a small cost to maintain this web site. The domain registration is $8.95 per year and the hosting cost is about $93.00 per year. The domain registration cost and hosting for the year of April 2005 have already been met. Any donations will be applied to the following years.
Also The Autism Connection would like to donate copies of the program "Boardmaker" and "Boardmaker with Speaking Dynamically Pro" created by Meyer & Johnson, to families in need! This program cost between $300 to $400 a copy. Many people who need the program can not afford it. This program is a valuable tool and can make communication possible for an individual who can not verbally communicate. Children that needs this program should NOT go with out it simply because they can not afford it!
Also I am thinking a lot about "PAID" advertising with search engines and other forms of media to help promote the web site and build up member involvement. So if you would like to contribute to help promote the web site or just to help keep the site going please send your check or money order to:
